What should I wear to class?
Whatever is comfortable and does not restrict your movements.
Are there changing facilities at the venue?
There are a changing rooms for men and women with showers.
Is there water available at the venue?
Yes there is water available to buy from Tess or bottles can be topped up for free.
Will low impact exercises still burn calories?
Absolutely, they are tough on energy but easy on you. It is all about the muscles used and the correct form which will get the best results. Smaller classes are ideal for getting help with technique.
Is there any cardio during the class?
Yes there is low impact cardio sometimes delivered through a short circuit or faster movements which are always optional during the class
Is there an exercise video of this class
There are short videos on the website that gives a flavour of the classes. There is also a library of videos which you can hire for a week and these are accessed under Online which can be found on the front page of this website.
Do I need to be coordinated to manage these classes?
Not at all, the music is there for enjoyment and to help achieve a better output. Everyone is encouraged to work at a pace they are comfortable with.
What would be the best home fitness equipment to buy for in-between classes?
Simple and cheap is the answer. There is no real need for any equipment but to add more variety to home exercises then dumbbells, a fitball, a resistance band and a mat would be the most useful items to have. These would also enable you to take part in all the Tessfit on-line classes.
Are there any online classes during lockdown?
Yes there are 4 Zoom classes each week, two Pilates and two Body logic. These can be booked through the website. The link and passcode will be given on payment.
Are the classes COVID safe?
All measures have been taken to ensure Tessfit and the gym meet all the requirements to keep everyone as safe as possible.
