Abdominal Exercises
It seems I got rather ahead of myself regarding my new and shiny blogs, apparently there is so much polishing to be done it could take up to 6 weeks! Well I simply can’t wait that long as there is too much to say and I have been advised that 300 words is the maximum for any single blog, who actually counts?!
Stomach Stumbling Blocks
Are you as fed up as me at reading what a waste of time all the hundreds of ab exercises you did over the years have been? Having studied this, I get it, but am still frustrated when any exercise receives such a negative press.
No exercise is a waste of time, it all depends on what results you want to see. Crunches have been targeted recently because they only work the muscles located on the front of your stomach which are often covered with a thin (or thick) layer of fat so you are unlikely to be able to see them. That does not mean they are pointless, as you will still be working your muscles.
Core Strength
It makes sense to target all your core muscles by performing exercises that have more of an impact on your body. Anyone who has attended one of my Body Logic Fitness classes will know that we rarely isolate a muscle and that core strength is necessary for all that we do. Not only does this make logical sense but it is much more fun!
I have 50 words left to tell you about my men/ladies conundrum. I started by separating the two thinking that neither would feel comfortable in a mixed class. I believed this until I could not hold the men’s class and so introduced a one-off mixed class. To my surprise it went incredibly well and I have received a number of requests to keep it going. Hence from next week the Wednesday classes at both 6.30pm and 7.45pm will become mixed classes open to all.
Book up for your next Tessfit class now…
I have lost count so will end here just in case!
