Mens Fitness – 2 left feet?
Since my last blog I have started to realise that settling into a routine is essential if I am going to achieve anything! I’m sure I am not alone in being a world class faffer! All my faffing has a purpose, most importantly it delays tasks I don’t want to do. In between that I have put some time and effort into finding someone who can channel my energy in a more structured way to help the business thrive.
After many meetings I have found a lady called Annette Harpham who is the director of Sharp Edge Marketing and she has made me ‘wake up and smell the coffee’ not just drink it!! I am looking forward to our work together especially as she has promised to do most of it.
The men’s class on a Thursday is proving to be very rewarding and great fun to instruct. The first week was one of gaining trust and confidence on both sides. That established the class is already more fun and energetic. There are fit men with little flexibility, flexible men with little fitness, men with two left feet and those who can really move! What they share is a willingness to improve and gain every benefit that a Body Logic class offers. All I need now is for the word to spread!
Nutrition is still evolving and will be for as long as we continue to learn. It is no excuse to ignore the basic facts because they are too confusing. Our quality of life depends on getting it right, so how do you change from being a ‘nutritional over-achiever’ to someone who understands nutritional balance? First stop, check out the Eatwell Plate and gasp when you see the words ‘bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, base every meal on starchy foods.’ Carbohydrates are energy giving foods so how will you feel without them?
Nutrition should be about positive ideas, positive changes and a positive attitude, if you want to speak to someone positive you know where I am!
A quick quote for the new men in my life:
A gym is not designed to make you feel instantly better about yourself, if it wanted to do that it would be a bar!
